Naked Put

A naked put is an options strategy in which the investor does not have a short position in the underlying asset he has written the put option.

Naked puts are involving with high risk as the option writer can suffer big losses if the underlying asset moves to the opposite direction than he desired. On the other hand, collect huge gain if his speculation fulfilled.

Naked put is sometimes referred as "uncovered put"
